Saint Alphonsus Names New Chief Executive Officer
Jeffcoat brings leadership, clinical expertise to role
Boise, ID— The Chairman of Saint Alphonsus' Board of Trustees, Brent Lloyd, announced today that the nationwide search for a new President and Chief Executive Officer was over. Lloyd said, "On behalf of the Saint Alphonsus Board of Trustees and our CEO search committee, I am pleased to announce that Sally Jeffcoat has accepted the position as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Saint Alphonsus."
Most recently, Ms. Jeffcoat served as the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, Healthcare Operations, for Ascension Health headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to assuming system responsibility, from 2003 to 2007, Ms. Jeffcoat was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Carondelet Health Network in Tucson, Arizona. Earlier in her career, Ms. Jeffcoat held CEO positions at faith-based hospitals and at for-profit hospitals in Texas, including six years with Christus Health as the President and CEO of St. Joseph Hospital in Houston. Ms. Jeffcoat received her bachelor's, and her master's degrees, in nursing from the University of Texas. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Lloyd said, "Ms. Jeffcoat's impressive leadership record includes both strategic and operational success on a wide variety of complex issues including: physician alignment, clinical program growth, safety and quality, community needs, and care of the poor and underserved. Ms. Jeffcoat will begin as CEO at Saint Alphonsus on June first.
