Dr. Bhan was very pleasant and professional but I feel that she lacked knowledge and should have either asked a peer for additional input or referred me to another facility. i had seen multiple providers (pcp, neurologist, general surgeon, and u of m neuromuscular) and they were all very concerned with my muscle biopsy results (the reason i was referred to Dr. Bhan). u of m is currently doing an extensive workup as they know they, based on my symptoms and results, that there is an underlying issue. Dr. Bhan just said that my biopsy result was pretty normal and i should add some vitamins and creatine to my diet and no need to follow up (it is not normal when your muscles aren't working properly and you have increasing weakness). This response left me speechless and highly disappointed. i was grateful that i trusted my instinct and knowledge from being a RN for 20 years and book two appointments at different facilities to address the same problem or i would be getting nowhere with this important issue.
