Kathryn Born, MD

I did not care for Dr. Born. She came across extremely flat emotionally and when talking with me. It seemed like she was just going through the emotions and did not really care that much. She brought up changing a medication I am on and when I asked for more details about the other medication she was recommending, the response and explanation was abysmal. Very little explanation or details when I asked. She also ignored the fact that I was on that current medication to help with some severe symptoms I was having, and that current medication really helped. I don't know why she brought up switching so casually without considering that. Also, I was a bit offended that after offering STI/STD testing and I declined (I am newly married and brought up that I had no concerns about STI/STDs), she said something along the lines of "Well I always ask that, you never know what kind of craziness could have happened before the wedding". I also expressed slight concerns that I may become pregnant (I accidentally forgot my birth control on a recent vacation) and instead of reassuring or asking further questions, her only response was "well, there's always Plan B". I am not interested in seeing this provider again ever.

I always feel very comfortable discussing concerns and options with Dr. Born. She listens and provides thoughtful feedback. I have never felt rushed or misunderstood.

She was very concise and explained everything to me

I would trust Dr. Born with any future health issues or questions that might arise in her areas of specialty. She is thorough and responds quickly to messages as well as actually seeming to care helping people.
