About
Manak Sood, MD, FACS, is board-certified in cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. Sood has authored a children’s health storybook and is the editor of a textbook on robotic surgery. Dr. Sood presently serves as the Head of IHA Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery and is the Director of the Center for Robotic Surgery at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Sood’s clinical interests include robotic cardiac surgery, anti-arrhythmia procedures and conventional bypass and valvular surgery. He is also a strong advocate for teaching young people about the dangers of smoking.
