Mark Pinto, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who practices sports medicine with a focus on arthroscopic surgery and treatment of shoulder problems. Dr. Pinto is a clinical lecturer in the departments of Orthopedic Surgery and Family Practice at the University of Michigan Medical School. He also acts as clinical lecturer and site director for the DMC Sports Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Pinto is the team physician for athletics at Chelsea High School, Manchester High School and Stockbridge High School.

Dr. Pinto was very pleasant to work with. He was very clear about next steps, restrictions and possible surgery results. Since it will be several weeks until I have surgery, it would have been great to be given any strategies besides restrictions to protect or improve my shoulder. There may not have been any, but we didn't have that conversation.

Dr. Pinto has been my doctor for many.years. I'm always treated with respect and he is very knowledgeable in his field. He takes his time to make sure I understand what is my problem and how he will fix it. As a surgeon, he has operated me and my husband with outstanding results.
