As a patient of Dr. Burmeister’s, I find it very disappointing that his panel is so busy. He cannot see his patience, timely. I was able to connect with him and he worked me in. However, he is booked out too far and I think his panel of patience needs to be full..
Investigate treatment follow through. This is not the first time and I certainly cannot be the only patient. If this physician cannot manage his basic duties, he should not practice. My HMO should not be billed until I have received complete care from the visit. I am still waiting to hear back from the doctor and this is even after I’ve sent him a message in the patient portal.

Dr. Burmeister was disrespectful, unethical, legally corrupt, and did not care about me WHATSOEVER. He lacked manners, human decency, and basic social skills. He did not honor my Care Everywhere Opt Out request. I articulated verbally AND in writing bringing documentation, to the receptionist staff which included the receptionist and the Manager, making it perfectly clear to communicate to Dr. Burmeister that I did not give him permission to view my medical records from other medical institutions. The receptionist and manager said they would honor that and that she would send the paperwork to medical records department. He looked at my medical records from other institutions. Those are my legal records, not his and he violated HIPPA by disregarding my orders. This has been one of the most humiliating and violating experiences of my life and I'm pursuing legal recourse. He is not above the law or more important than me. I don't think he's intelligent either. I think he's an embarrassment to the medical profession and his employment should be terminated immediately. I hope my testimony does not fall on deaf ears.
Dr Burmeister actually listened...just about was in awe over that. I was just waiting to here "well you are getting older" even though I did tell him I didn't want to hear that, because I know I am getting older...but something just isn't right. I do hope he continues to listen because that is half the battle.

This was my initial visit, I came away with a level of confidence and trust in my future care.
I had my blood work done the day after my yearly visit. I would prefer to somehow have my labs ordered and communicated to me a week or two prior to my yearly wellness visit so that we can discuss any concerns during my appointment.
I have never felt rushed with Dr.Burmeister . He always gave me his undivided attention, was always thorough and provided me with full and understandable explanations and information.

Dr Burmeister is awesome! He actually sits down and talks with you about what’s going on. I hear a lot of people complain these days about having impersonal physicians who don’t take the time to actually listen and help resolve any issues. I feel very fortunate to have found him after the amazing Dr Spoolstra retired.

Subsequent to my in office experience, Dr. Burmeister issued his report to the referring surgeon for scheduled cataract surgery in a timely manner. Because of my fatigue he and I agreed that a comprehensive blood test was warranted. I visited the lab that same morning and the results were posted in MyChart that same Monday. Dr. B reviewed the results and finally responded to my repeated requests in MyChart and calls to his clinical staff with his written insight and recommendation on Friday, 4 days later. I would have appreciated a more timely review and communique regarding his critique and recommendation.

This wasn't a hands-on physical. He listen to my heart, lungs, kneaded my stomach, felt my neck. He didn't scope my eyes, ears, nose or mouth. Didn't look at feet, toes or legs. Didn't check my rectum or prostate.
Dr. Burmeister is a great listener, who is so easy to talk to. He is thorough in his examinations and deals with problems in a practical, professional manner.
My only concern was that I had to wait almost a half an hour in the exam room to be seen.
