Tendai Thomas, MD, FACP, is a board-certified internal medicine physician. Dr. Thomas earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor and was recognized as Internal Medicine Resident of the Year in 2002-03. Most caring doctor you will ever have. She is soft spoken but firm in the delivery of your health and she wants you to take your health serious. Initially, she felt additional imaging was not needed, but she pulled up a test result and decided that my risk factor was quite high, and I should pursue the expensive test. Her willingness to double check was appreciated. She serves on the committee making recommendations to Radiologists. Many doctors I've previously seen have not been willing to take a second look. I appreciated her concern.

The most caring and compassionate provider that I have had in years. Many years ago when my long-term PCP stop taking my insurance, I knew it was going to be an uphill battle to find someone as caring as she was. I started seeing Dr. Thomas less than a year ago. Through labs she identified I had prediabetes and high cholesterol. Instead of making me feel bad about it she was a cheerleader for lifestyle change identifying clear ways I can reverse my medical issues. This was my three-month follow up and through Dr. Thomas' guidance I have lowered my cholesterol and decreased my HgA1c dramatically. I'm excited for my next three-month follow up because I want to show by myself that I AM in control of my health and no longer pre-diabetic. Thank you, Dr. Thomas!
