Why I chose this program/Grand Rapids for my training

I chose this program because of the warmth I felt on the interview day. Furthermore, the program's focus on providing education to residents was what made me choose this program. Like they said on interview day this program is a hidden gem!

Why I chose this program/Grand Rapids for my training

My number one priority for a training program was having mentors and an organization that was invested in my personal growth and career goals. After interviewing here and based on research it was an easy decision that this was the place for me.

I have mentors in the field of vascular neurology that are dedicated to ensuring that I have hands-on training and develop independent decision-making skills caring for acutely sick patients. They strive for excellence and compassion aligning with the goals of the organization. They have a robust and active research team participating in StrokeNet trials and others advancing the treatment we provide to stroke patients.

Mercy Health has a warm culture that was readily evident during my site visit; here you are family.

Hobbies/what I do outside of work

I enjoy volleyball, swimming, hiking and cooking.
