There was a strong sense of wanting you to develop as a person and not just someone to work for them. I appreciated the way they interacted with each other and demonstrated being a family and not just coworkers. I also appreciated the thought that went into the curriculum as well as the work that it took to secure places like Shock Trauma to rotate at. Go crazy about quantum particles and subatomic analysis of the universe. I spend a decent amount of time at the gym, and my biggest concern is maintaining my health and lifestyle habits. Lastly but not least, family is a priority in my life, and I would not be writing this attestation without them.
Why I Chose Trinity Health Livonia: Faculty, senior residents and administrative personnel were extremely supportive and caring since interview time. The vibe at our hospital has the perfect mixture of a supportive community, academic environment, and excellence of care, which results into better results for our patients and a warm place to work at. Why I chose Trinity Health Livonia: I chose the Trinity Health Livonia Residency Program because it felt like the perfect fit for both my professional and personal growth. The program’s strong connections with prestigious institutions like the Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland and the Children’s Hospital of Michigan ensure diverse and comprehensive offsite rotations. During my observership and interviews, I was impressed by the close bond between the residents and attending physicians, which felt more like a community rather than just a workplace. That sense of community, combined with the program’s strong ties to Wayne State and Michigan State, and its impressive fellowship match rate, made me excited about the opportunities ahead. Also, many of my medical school peers have matched here, and they spoke highly of this program. Plus, the variety of specialty tracks like ultrasound, and administration/global health align with my interests.

The leadership fosters a supportive and inclusive environment where resident wellness and education are top priorities. The faculty are approachable, down-to-earth, and clearly invested in our growth. One of the most striking aspects of the program is the strong sense of camaraderie. The chiefs and residents genuinely look out for one another, creating a collaborative and team-oriented atmosphere. Why I Chose Trinity Health Livonia: We're all looking for a program that will provide us with the right experience and training to make us a well-rounded physician in the end, but it was really important for me to match into a program that had a close-knit family feel among the residents. THLH really stood out to me with the way everyone spoke so highly of each other and the culture that is present in the program, after my interview it honestly made me think "this is the one." Everyone has been so warm and welcoming since I started, and even though the transition from medical student to resident is scary, I have felt supported and uplifted since day one, giving me the confidence and drive to succeed on every shift.

Why I Chose Trinity Health Livonia: Our incredibly intelligent faculty care deeply about resident education and wellbeing; I felt genuinely supported and welcomed from day one. Because of our patient population, you will be very well trained on managing medically challenging cases.
