“Cameron responded to a Code Gray for an elderly patient who was agitated, combative, and escalating toward physical violence. Cameron was able to calm the patient, and he spent nearly 30 minutes with the confused patient talking to and calming him down until he fell asleep. Cameron de-escalated the situation with his patience, kindness, compassion, and communication skills. Cameron is a great example of what a caring nurse and great coworker can be.” Cameron was honored with a surprise celebration on the 3rd floor before his leaders, fellow colleagues and the Nursing Operations Council members.
